New churches launch!
posted 10/12/2012 10:04:14 AMLakepoint Church launched on Sunday in Muskego, WI. “The doors opened, faces were smiling, and people poured in,” the church writes. “We were very well received by the local community.” Brian Hofmeister serves as lead pastor.
Also launching Sunday was Restore Church; 182 people attended the first service held at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD. On the church’s Facebook page, pastor Aaron Thomas shared, “A woman had a flat tire right in front of The Fillmore during our worship service. Three of our guys changed her tire for her on the busiest street in Silver Spring. She asked what was going on at The Fillmore on a Sunday morning. She found out we were a church and gave $20 to one of the guys to put in the offering bucket. The first person to believe in what God is doing through Restore Church, and give to our mission, was a woman who was blessed by three men who took the church outside of the walls. Here's to the hope that our church will continue to do far more good outside the walls of a Sunday morning than inside.”
