Mustard Seed joins Orchard Group
posted 9/17/2012 10:05:26 AMLast week Orchard Group (New York, NY) announced that Mustard Seed Global Fellowship is joining Orchard in its church planting efforts. Orchard Group has begun planting churches in areas outside the northeastern US, including Phoenix, AZ and Ireland, and discovered parallels with the Mustard Seed ministry.
“As we developed this expanded vision for new churches in global cities, we became familiar with Mustard Seed Global Fellowship,” the Orchard team shared. “Nick Parsons, Mike Ackerman and Jay Greer turned a vision for church planting in the largest and least-reached cities of the world into a vibrant and effective ministry. The have already started churches in two of the largest cities in Japan.
Conversations between the leaders of both organizations led us to realize how similar our ministries really are. Over time we realized we would be stronger and able to accomplish more together as a single organization.”
