Reel Water
posted 6/15/2012 1:20:23 PMThis Saturday, Journey’s Crossing Church (Gaithersburg, MD), in partnership with Food for the Hungry and many other sponsoring organizations and individuals, will host the Reel Water Film Festival at a nearby arts center to raise awareness of the global clean water crisis and raise money for clean water projects in the Dominican Republic and the Philippines.
The festival has received more than 50 film submissions from eight different countries; in addition, festival organizers plan to show the feature film Watershed: Exploring a New Water Ethic for the New West, a film produced and narrated by Robert Redford that tells the story of threats to the Colorado River.
