Church planting, Oui!
posted 5/16/2008 11:25:33 AMChurches like One Life Christian Church are working with Christian Associates International to develop high-impact churches and church leaders throughout Europe--an area with rich spiritual heritage but growing numbers of unchurched, unbelieving people. One Life currently helps to support the Powells, who are completing two years in Paris and preparing for a move to Amsterdam.
"Europe is at the forefront of the Emerging Culture philosophically, socially, artistically, and politically. To a large degree, as goes Europe, so goes the world," shares CAI. "Unfortunately, in the cities of Europe, less than 5% of the population attends church regularly, and church attendance remains in rapid decline all across Europe, particularly among young people. Despite that, many Europeans, including the young, remain open to exploring the teachings of Christ, but they want a different experience than what the traditional church has offered."
The organization works with missionaries to create movements of local believers who can influence their own culture. To learn more, visit CAI's website here.
